Art Information : Chop Suey

Chop Suey (1929) is a painting by Edward Hopper which portrays two women in conversation at a café. According to some art scholars, one "striking detail of Chop Suey is that its female subject faces her doppelgänger." As with many of Hopper's works, the painting features a close attention to the affects light on his subjects.
